The Au-Hg amalgam anchored on the surface of reduced graphene oxide nanosheets (Au-Hg/rGO) has been synthesized successfully and characterized by various techniques such as transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The Au-Hg/rGO nanocomposites were found to possess excellent peroxidase-like catalytic activity and can quickly catalyze the oxidation of colorless 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to blue oxTMB in the presence of H_2O_2. The obvious color change offered accurate determination of the H_2O_2 concentration by recording the absorbance at 652 nm using a UV-vis spectrophotometer. The linear response range for H_2O_2 was from 5 μM to 100 μM and the detection limit was 3.25 μM (S/N = 3). Furthermore, a kinetic study indicated that the catalytic behavior of Au-Hg/rGO nanocomposites followed the typical Michaelis-Menten theory and Au-Hg/rGO nanocomposites showed good affinity for H_2O_2. We envision that the simple and sensitive colorimetric detection system holds great promising applications in clinical diagnostics and food and environment monitoring.

In the rTg4510 Alzheimer disease model pathology starts in the cortex and spreads over time in a prion like manner to connected regions of the hippocampus and frontal/temporal cortices, and finally to the striatum and thalamus but the cerebellum is spared. The tangles are observed in the cortex by 4 months of age, the hippocampus by 5.5 months (1) with cortical cell loss occurring at 8.5 months (2). In this process glial cells lose some homeostatic function acquiring a proinflammatory phenotype believed to precede neurodegeneration (3). In this study we demonstrate increased CSF ICF exchange in the presence of the proposed neuroinflammation marker of free/isotropic diffusion (4) at the initial onset of tau loading in the striatum and thalamus at 8.5 months.

Few-photon optomechanical effects not only are important physical evidence for understanding the radiationpressure interaction between photons and mechanical oscillation, but also have wide potential applications in modern quantum technology. Here we study the few-photon optomechanical effects including photon blockade and generation of the Schr?dinger cat states under the assistance of a cross-Kerr interaction, which is an inherent interaction accompanied by the optomechanical coupling in a generalized optomechanical system. By exactly diagonalizing the generalized optomechanical Hamiltonian and calculating its unitary evolution operator, we find the physical mechanism of the enhancement of photon blockade and single-photon mechanical displacement. The quantum properties in this generalized optomechanical system are studied by investigating the second-order correlation function of the cavity field and calculating the Wigner function and the probability distribution of the rotated quadrature operator for the mechanical mode. We also study the influence of the dissipations on the few-photon optomechanical effects.

In thiswork,we focus on exporting countries' data of the International TradeNetwork.Arecommendation system is then used to identify the products that correspond to the production capacity of each individual country but are somehow overlooked by the country.Then, we simulate the evolution of the country's fitness if it would have followed the recommendations.The result of this work is the combination of these twomethods to provide insights to countries on how to enhance the diversification of their exported products in a scientific way and improve national competitiveness significantly, especially for developing countries.

This study presents a complete psychological skills training (PST) program with a wheelchair athlete and examines the program effectiveness using a mixed-method approach. After initial testing, the athlete followed a two-month program of selfconfidence building, motivational, visualization/relaxation, and injury management techniques. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used to examine the impacts on performance and psychological abilities. The triangulated results suggest that the PST program was perceived as effective by the athlete in terms of his sporting performances and mental skills. The characteristics and implications of a PST program with this wheelchair athlete are discussed, as well as the study limitations and the perspectives for future research.

Anim. Sci. 91: 663-667. To better use distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) for non-ruminants, some of the fiber may be removed. The "elusieve" process removes approximately 10% of DDGS material, mostly fiber, yielding enhanced DDGS (E-DDGS). An experiment was conducted to compare the DE and ME in E-DDGS to those in DDGS when fed to growing and finishing pigs. Overall, E-DDGS has greater DE, ME and ME than DDGS.

Experimental results of the diffusion of chromium(II) in natural diamond powder (Cr.NDP) of 60 to 80 μm using modified field enhanced diffusion with optical activation (MOD.FEDOA) are presented. MOD.FEDOA is a promising technique for incorporation of impurities into wide band gap powders in the nanometer-to-micrometer range. MOD.FEDOA uses a combination of thermal diffusion with electrical potential, thermal ion-ization, and optical ionization combined in one setup, developed as a primary tool for the diffusion of various impurities into diamond. The effect of the diffusion process was studied with micro-Raman and a scanning electron microscope equipped with an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). Raman analysis shows an increase in disorder in the treated sample. The main Raman peak in diamond was identified at 1332 cm~(-1), indicating that the sample maintained the diamond crystal structure after the incorporation of chromium (Cr). Secondary electron images show an increase in surface roughness, rounding of crystalline faces by oxidation, and microfractures in the treated diamond powder. Backscattered electron images revealed deposition of impurities on the surfaces of diamonds after doping. EDS and Raman shift confirmed the presence of Cr in diamond particles after treatment. Other impurities, Si and O, were also identified by EDS and micro-Raman. This work presents strong evidence that Cr can be incorporated into natural diamond. It also suggests that Cr:NDP is suitable for applications in nuclear industries such as radiation shield and cladding material. Further, this work offers the possibility to develop novel diamond-based materials that can be used in the nuclear field.

The bioavailabilities of eye drops are very low, so it is eager to find a safe and effective penetration enhancer to improve drug bioavailability. In our study, the corneas of New Zealand albino rabbit were mounted in the improved Franz diffusion cells for the measurement of fluconazole diffusion across the corneal permeation barrier. The fluconazole concentrations and the cumulative osmolalities were calculated to investigate the changes of permeation parameters of fluconazole through the ex vivo cornea in the presence of different penetration enhancers. Compared with the control group, 0.05% and 0.1% menthol, as well as menthol combined with borneol were considered as the penetration enhancer significantly promoted the permeation of fluconazole through the cornea ex vivo (P < 0.05), but the same trend was not found in borneol groups. Furthermore, the combination of borneol and menthol significantly enhanced the permeation rate in the same concentration, compared with their effects when used alone (P < 0.01). In order to investigate the feasibility and safety of the mixture, the corneal hydration level or wink frequency over 5 min were detected. So there were no significant differences between the mixture group and the control one. Consequently, menthol combined with borneol can highly enhance fluconazole permeation through the ex vivo cornea. Because of its low irritation, it may be a new efficient and safe penetration enhancer with a good development and application potential.

Budd Chiari Syndrome (BCS) is characterised by obstruction of hepatic venous outflow and Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) causing portalhypertension. The gold standard imaging for such a case is Contrast Enhanced Computed Tomography (CECT). The conventionaltreatment of BCS involves systemic thrombolysis, surgical shunt (transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt) or IVC venoplastywith stenting with or without hepatic venoplasty. A case of 60-year-old male who presented with complaints of 3 months history ofright loin pain and nocturia, who was later diagnosed with BCS with IVC web is presented. The clinical history was atypical whilstthe Imaging findings of multiple venous collaterals on CECT abdomen and echogenic IVC thrombus traced till Right Atrium (RA) onlongitudinal grey scale Ultrasonogram (USG) aided in diagnosis. The percutaneous interventional procedure of IVC venoplasty withstenting was done and patient recovered with good prognosis.

Abstract Satellite Image Processing is a vital field of research and development that involves the processing of images of the Earth and satellites obtained by artificial satellites. Images are digitally taken before being analyzed by computers to get information. Due to image format inadequacies and defects, data received from imaging sensors on satellite platforms includes deficiencies and errors, necessitating additional activities to improve image quality. The massive network of remote sensing satellites circling the Earth provides comprehensive and periodic coverage of the Earth, enabling a wide range of uses for human benefit. Before being applied to the kernel fuzzy C-means algorithm?with spatial information with Penguin search Optimization (SKFCM with PeSOA) segmentation step, the image data is pre-processed. To extract a collection of features from the segmented nucleus, hybrid feature extraction is performed. In this hybrid approach, the discrete wavelet transform?with gray-level co-occurrence matrix (DWT with GLCM) algorithm was used. The attributes that have been segmented and retrieved are utilised to train the Enhanced Probabilistic Neural Network classifier. Metrics such as accuracy, f-measure, specificity, and sensitivity are used to assess classification efficiency. When compared to other classifiers, the Enhanced Probabilistic Neural Network classifier has 98.1 percent accuracy.
